- Test Setup Assembly: Design, assemble, and configure hydraulic and pneumatic test setups based on project requirements.
- Instrumentation: Install and configure sensors and instruments for measuring pressure, temperature, motion, and force.
- Test Execution: Conduct tests using oscilloscopes, multimeters, pressure controllers, data acquisition systems, and other laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with test setups and instrumentation equipment.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze test data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Documentation: Develop detailed test procedures and write comprehensive test reports.
- Schematics Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics to ensure correct setup and operation of test systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all testing procedures comply with relevant customer specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Time management?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering?, Education: Bachelors of Engineering (BSME or BSEE preferred), We are seeking an experienced Test Engineer with a comprehensive engineering background and upwards of five years of industry experience. This role requires demonstrated technical expertise in pressure, temperature, motion, and force measurements. The candidate should be proficient in assembling hydraulic and pneumatic test setups, utilizing a variety of laboratory and test equipment, and troubleshooting complex systems. An understanding of mechanical engineering principles and best drafting practices is preferred but not required., * Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an engineering environment, with a focus on instrumentation and testing.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, environmental chambers, sensors, and pressure controllers.
- Understanding of sensors and signal conditioning types: Voltage, Current, and Ratiometric
- Understanding of Accuracy, Precision, Resolution, etc and selecting equipment based on test requirements.
- Experience with data acquisition systems.
- National Instruments cDAQ Chassis and Modules preferred but not required.
- Programable Logic Controllers
- Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- 3D printing experience preferred but not required.
- Documentation: Experience in writing test procedures and reports. Must be able to document and present testing data in a clear and effective manner.
- Troubleshooting: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex test setups.
- Schematics: Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and repeatability.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
