Job description

A Carter Lumber System Accuracy Specialist is responsible ensuring inventory accuracy, margin accuracy and POS reporting accuracy is in accordance to company’s policies and procedures. Assists in training employees on the POS system, 20/20 system, and policy and procedures. Effective communication with the field and internal departments are mandatory for the success of this position., * Store Reviews

Prepares and conducts store reviews within a district. Reviews compliance of procedures in areas including but not limited to; inventory management, system accuracy, pricing, safety, purchasing, accounting and store standards. Provides results to Store Managers and Market Vice Presidents. Follows up on deficiencies and determines if training assistance is needed.

  • Inventory

Assist in achieving acceptable inventory levels. Assists in creating profitable exits for unnecessary inventory. Audits stores to ensure inventory preparation is being completed. Conducts year-end physical and paper audits to ensure procedures were followed. Assists in resolving any issues with the year-end inventory process.

  • Pricing & Margin Accuracy

Assists in maintaining an accurate POS system margin and pricing system. Utilizes POS reporting and policy and procedures to determine and maintain accuracy.

  • Special Projects

Provides training for employees when directed to by management. Assists in projects that result in corporate savings and profit.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Spreadsheets?, * Previous operational experience in a pro building materials environment

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities; including analyzing inventory activity
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to protect confidential information
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
  • Overnight and occasional weekend travel
