Job description
Gather, develop, coordinate, and maintain business requirements for various projects and/or systems from the initial phase to final implementation, ensuring requirements meet standards.
- Documents and improves existing process and information systems.
- Designs and executes new technology solutions.
- Fosters long-term relationships with business partners.
- Manages project tasks and schedules.
- Translate Product vision into meaningful Epics and Stories.
- Work on a variety of IT projects, either in the form of internal development or in conjunction with external vendors.
- Ability to interact with all organizational levels and exercise good judgment to recommend solutions.
- Aptitude to identify technical requirements and translate to adequate technical stories.
- Lead deep-dive technical analysis sessions, and ensure results are clearly documented.
- Assist Product Owner with prioritizing stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.
- Assist Product Owner with backlog management, iteration planning, and grooming of the user stories.
- Assist with managing team delivery commitments and helping to remove impediments.
- Assist with the development of project definitions, cost/benefit and risk analysis, work plans, progress reports, and presentations.
- Manage several concurrent projects of varying priority and complexity, across multiple teams and multiple business divisions.
- Measure and communicate product business value and ROI.
- Enjoy working in a high-profile environment with fluid priorities and ambiguity.
- Ensuring the team produces continual and on-time delivery of value
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of business and technology analysis experience.
- Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
- Familiar with Agile concepts, methods (e.g. Scrum or Kanban), and supporting tools (e.g. Jira, Agility/Version One).
- Must have the ability to transform business and functional requirements into technical solutions
- Experience as a technical product owner.
- Extensive experience defining agile requirements (Epics/stories), including functional and technical in a product/services organization.
- Understanding and usage of agile metrics (velocity, burn downs) to help the team be more productive.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation skills and ability to partner with business stakeholders to prioritize backlog, as necessary.
- Creative thinker with great attention to details.
