Job description

Sustain deployed USV platforms and ground systems in the field, own the as-maintained configuration of each hull, and originate the field-derived requirements that loop back to engineering. This is the primary technical support for all deployed systems - the sensing organ in the field., * Perform field-level preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and corrective action across platform systems: computers, electrical, networks, radios, sensors, and power systems

  • Execute shipboard and forward installation, integration, and commissioning; configure and validate LOS / BLOS radios, antennas, and networking in compliance with EMI/EMC and platform constraints
  • Operate the USV and its payloads from a diagnostic computer, handheld controller, and remote operator station
  • Perform software and firmware installation and upgrades on fielded systems
  • Capture the as-maintained configuration of each hull and route change requests upstream via the Operational Intelligence channel
  • Provide reach-back support to operators and document mission activities and post-event logs
  • Support spares, supportability, and logistics at remote and field-support sites

Requirements

Do you have experience in Ship electrical systems maintenance?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * AS / BS in engineering technology, or equivalent military / technical experience

  • 4+ years of field service or sustainment on complex electromechanical or unmanned systems
  • Hands-on with RF / radios, networking, and platform electrical and power systems
  • Willingness to travel 50%+ and work at sea in austere, forward-deployed conditions
  • U.S. citizenship; Secret clearance, * Vessel and marine maintenance experience - diesel and marine drivetrain, propulsion, cooling, and power generation
  • USV / UUV / UAS or naval-systems experience; open-architecture unmanned systems
  • Shipboard installation and integration experience
  • Relevant manufacturer, STCW, or marine credentials; operator reach-back / help-desk experience
