Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Data/AI Engineer you should be curious to learn new and complex technologies, have a drive to contribute new ideas for future development, and be passionate about writing reliable, efficient, and maintainable code. You will be expected to build and improve software by working with a Product Owner, Scrum Master, and other Engineers by translating functional requirements into robust, scalable, and supportable solutions. You will participate in the full development lifecycle and actively troubleshoot issues in support of applications in production critical environments.

  • Integrate AI capabilities, such as LLMs, into enterprise web applications using standard APIs.

  • Identify and prepare data for use in an LLM

  • Engineers prompts for a large language model to maximize use of knowledge repositories and improve accuracy and relevance of LLM outputs.

  • Assists in the Design, development, documentation, testing, and debugging applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions.

Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.

  • Proficient in at least one modern programming language such as Java, JavaScript, Python, C++, or C#

  • Proficient in at least one modern frontend framework such as React, Vue, or Angular

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle * Understanding of OpenAI and other standard APIs for integrating applications with LLMs and other models.

  • Demonstrated deep understanding of RAG methodologies and practical application. Experience with processing frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Haystack.

  • Experience with vector database platforms such as OpenSearch, ElasticSearch, Qdrant.

  • Experience with document processing and OCR technologies, including integration and deployment within production environments

  • A sound understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and software design patterns

  • Basic knowledge of web-based application development

  • Experience with development in a Linux environment.

  • Familiarity with git or any Atlassian collaboration tools

Benefits & conditions

$49/hr to $52/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
