Senior Transceiver Firmware Engineer

Lead Optical Transceiver Firmware Engineer develops and maintains the embedded software for optical transceivers, ensuring they operate reliably and efficiently. This role requires a deep understanding of both hardware and software, with responsibilities including designing, implementing, testing, and debugging firmware for these devices., * Firmware Development: Writing, debugging, and testing firmware for optical transceivers, often using C or C++.

• Hardware Integration: Collaborating with hardware engineers to ensure the firmware works seamlessly with the transceiver’s hardware.
• Testing and Validation: Thoroughly testing firmware to ensure it meets performance and reliability requirements.
• Problem Solving: Debugging and resolving issues with firmware and hardware integration.
• Performance Optimization: Optimizing firmware for speed, efficiency, and power consumption.
• Documentation: Maintaining detailed documentation of firmware code and functionality.

• Bachelor’s Degree: Typically a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required.
• Experience: Relevant experience in firmware development, embedded systems, and optical transceivers is highly desirable.

The pay range for this role is $100,100 - $180,200. Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: June 10, 2026.
