Job description
AgentTech I/O is hiring a Junior Software Engineer to join our in-office engineering team in Land O Lakes, FL. You will work alongside senior engineers on real production code that powers insurance call centers across the country. We are looking for someone hungry, coachable, and curious - formal CS background is not required if you can show you build things. Expect to learn a lot, fast, in a collaborative in-person environment.
What you’ll do
- Ship features and bug fixes across our backend services, internal tools, and admin surfaces.
- Write clean, tested code and learn our standards through code review.
- Pair with senior engineers on harder problems and grow your scope over time.
- Help maintain internal tooling, dashboards, and operational scripts.
- Investigate and triage production issues with guidance from the team.
- Write clear PR descriptions and runbooks.
- Take feedback well and iterate quickly., * How many years of programming experience do you have (including school, internships, and serious side projects)?
- Which languages have you used to build something real (not just tutorials)?

Requirements
Do you have experience in Software engineering?, * 0-2 years of professional software engineering experience (internships, freelance, and meaningful side projects count).
- Working knowledge of at least one modern language (Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, PHP, or similar).
- Comfortable with Git, the Linux command line, and basic SQL.
- Curiosity about how systems actually work - networks, databases, browsers.
- Strong written communication; ability to explain what you built and why.
- Coachable, low-ego, and excited to learn from in-person mentorship.
- Must be able to commute daily to our Land O Lakes, FL office.
