Job description

A major medical technology organization is seeking a Product Engineer to join their Global Operations team supporting system implementations, infrastructure platforms, and production environments. This role plays a critical part in maintaining secure, reliable, and scalable IT systems across both on-premises data centers and cloud environments as the organization continues its migration to AWS., Operating within a 24/7 production ecosystem, this engineer will help ensure operational stability while contributing to infrastructure improvements, automation initiatives, and platform enhancements. Approximately half of the role will focus on supporting live systems, resolving incidents, and ensuring smooth operations, while the remaining time will be dedicated to engineering efforts such as building automation, assisting with product releases, and enabling application teams through troubleshooting and system design.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Product, Systems, Platform, or Infrastructure Engineer supporting production environments
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and exposure to on-prem to cloud migrations
Strong scripting and automation experience, particularly with PowerShell
Experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform or similar Infrastructure-as-Code tools
Solid networking fundamentals including firewall rules, application gateways, and secure connectivity
Experience supporting production systems using monitoring tools such as Datadog or similar platforms
Foundational understanding of databases, including the ability to run queries and support production-related data * Experience supporting cloud migration or large-scale infrastructure modernization efforts
Familiarity with database transaction concepts (BEGIN TRAN / COMMIT)
Background working in regulated environments such as healthcare, medical device, or financial services
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
Experience supporting build and release processes or understanding the full development lifecycle
