Job description
Mid-sized growth-oriented enterprise software company looking to augment their team with an experienced Director / Senior Director level of Professional Services to assist in the implementation of cloud-based systems used by large corporations., * As the Senior Director of Professional Services, you will join a hands-on executive leadership team responsible for driving scalable growth, operational discipline, and delivery excellence across the organization.
- This role requires a builder’s mindset, someone who approaches complex operational challenges with structured thinking, technical depth, and a bias toward execution.
- You will lead the full Professional Services organization, including all delivery and practice areas, with end-to-end responsibility for strategy, financial performance, and operational execution across implementations, integrations, custom development, advisory services, and ongoing client engagements.
- Acting as a true business owner of the function, you will design and implement the operational frameworks, governance Models, and financial discipline required to scale predictably.
- You will drive delivery excellence, gross margin performance, utilization discipline, backlog visibility, and forecast accuracy while ensuring services operations directly support revenue growth and long-term client retention. This role demands both strategic clarity and hands-on leadership. You will build scalable systems, refine them continuously, and establish accountability across all service lines. In close partnership with Sales, Product, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success, you will align supply and demand, strengthen planning discipline, and enhance cross-functional transparency. Working alongside a high-caliber leadership team, you will bring operational rigor, financial accountability, and disciplined execution to deliver consistent client outcomes and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead long-term vision, strategic direction, and execution roadmap for the full Professional Services portfolio.
- Design and implement an effective organizational structure, ensuring the right leadership, talent, and capabilities are in place to support growth.
- Provide strong, hands-on operational leadership that promotes discipline, consistency, clear ownership across all Functions.
- Convert company-level objectives into actionable operating plans / measurable initiatives within each area.
- Build scalable frameworks, processes, and systems that enable consistent delivery quality, operational efficiency, and high client satisfaction.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Marketing, Finance, and Legal to advance strategic initiatives and align Services with broader company priorities.
- Cultivate a performance-driven culture that emphasizes accountability, alignment, and continuous improvement while supporting scalable growth and evolving business demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree required; advanced degree in related discipline preferred.
- 10-15+ years of progressive leadership experience overseeing complex services organizations and multiple business units, ideally within Professional Services or technology-driven environments.
- Demonstrated success leading multi-line service operations with full P&L responsibility, driving growth, margin performance, and operational rigor.
- Proven ability to design and implement scalable operating Models that enhance efficiency, elevate client experience, and support long-term, sustainable growth.
- Experience within a technology company or high-growth environment is strongly preferred.
- Background in top-tier management consulting is advantageous but not required.
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities. Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound, data-informed decisions.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the capacity to influence senior executives, clients, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Track record of driving alignment across Sales, Marketing, Delivery, and Support to achieve unified business objectives.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with disciplined execution habits. Ability to instill those standards across teams.
- Adaptable and resilient, comfortable operating in dynamic environments with shifting priorities and evolving demands.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset, taking full accountability for both individual performance and overall team outcomes.
- Commitment to quality and excellence in all deliverables.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization while managing competing priorities, complex challenges.
- Willingness to travel as needed to engage with clients, team members, and key stakeholders.
- A hands-on leader who leads by example, not solely through delegation and is prepared to contribute at a high level personally when required.
