Job description

We are seeking experienced AI Systems Engineers to help build and deploy production AI solutions that improve business operations, automate complex workflows, modernize legacy processes, and drive measurable business results.

This is not a research role, a prompt-engineering role, or a position focused on building demos. We are looking for engineers who can take a business problem, design a solution, build it, deploy it, and continuously improve it in production.

You will work within ACTi, a growing AI-focused organization while being embedded with an operating business, Callagy Recovery Corporation, that relies on technology to drive revenue, analytics, workflow automation, and operational efficiency. The systems you help create will not only improve our business today but will also help establish the blueprint for future AI implementations across other organizations.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain AI-powered business applications.
  • Develop AI assistants, automation workflows, integrations, and operational intelligence tools.
  • Build and maintain APIs, webhooks, databases, and system integrations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve, automate, redesign, or replace inefficient business processes.
  • Work directly with leadership and operational teams to understand workflows, pain points, and business objectives.
  • Translate business challenges into practical, scalable technology solutions.
  • Contribute to the architecture and evolution of a growing AI platform.

Requirements

Do you have experience in TypeScript?, We’re looking for engineers who can operate independently and own projects from concept to production.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, can quickly learn how a business operates, and is capable of identifying the root causes of problems before proposing solutions.

You should be able to speak the language of both business and technology, serving as a bridge between operational teams and technical systems., * Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript experience.

  • Experience building and deploying production software.
  • Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar LLM platforms.
  • Experience with function calling, structured outputs, prompt engineering, and RAG.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations.
  • SQL and data modeling experience.
  • Proven ability to build and deliver complete solutions independently.

Preferred Experience

  • Agentic AI workflows and orchestration frameworks.
  • Workflow automation platforms such as n8n or Make.
  • Voice AI, conversational AI, or telephony platforms (Twilio, Vapi, LiveKit, Pipecat, etc.).
  • CRM systems and operational workflow platforms.
  • Data engineering and integration pipelines.
  • Healthcare, legal, insurance, or other regulated-data environments.
  • Docker, cloud deployments, logging, and monitoring.
  • PHP and legacy system integration.

Who Thrives Here

  • Builders who enjoy ownership and accountability.
  • Engineers who focus on outcomes rather than activity.
  • Professionals who can adapt to changing priorities and evolving business needs.
  • People who want to understand the business before designing solutions.
  • Individuals who can work effectively with both executives and front-line operational teams.

If you’ve built real systems, enjoy solving meaningful business problems, and want to help shape the future of AI-powered operations, we’d love to hear from you.
