Job description
We are seeking a Principal Systems & Integration Engineer (SE&I) to provide enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community. This is a senior individual contributor role that manages moderately sized projects with minimal oversight and delivers measurable contributions to new products, processes, and operational standards. This position is based in a SCIF environment in Sterling, VA facility (near Dulles Airport) and offers flexible work hours to support work/life balance., * Lead project management and project leadership tasks in collaboration with government, military, SETA, and contractor teams across multiple customer organizations.
- Apply Mission Protection knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) to assigned projects, enterprise-level initiatives, and other entities as directed by the customer.
- Serve as a senior advisor on mission resiliency topics, capabilities, and best practices.
- Analyze complex, fluctuating problems requiring detailed information gathering, root cause analysis, and investigation to determine appropriate resolutions.
- Lead mission interactions and provide end-to-end support across multiple concurrent missions, including the initialization and stand-up of new missions., * Enterprise-wide scope - high visibility work with direct impact on operational missions
- Flexible work hours - rare for a fully SCIF-based position
- Long-term program stability supporting an established IC operational customer
- Senior individual contributor track with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and lead cross-team initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred)

Minimum 8 years of prior engineering experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience Technical & Domain Skills
- Demonstrated KSAs in Mission Protection, Mission Resiliency, Customer Operations, Tasking, and/or Collections
- Experience with project management principles and practices
- RFC (Request for Change) impact review and assessment experience
- Enterprise-level planning and implementation experience

Systems installation, integration, and test (SI&T) experience Collaboration & Environment
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in mixed-team environments including Government, Military, SETA, and Contractor personnel

Comfortable operating in a SCIF environment with classified information handling requirements Clearance
- Active and transferable TS/SCI with Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph - must be in place prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required; only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required clearance level
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with customer NSIS processes and/or rapid delivery methods
- Established relationships within the IC customer community
- Experience working across contract vehicles and geographic/SCIF locations
- Proficiency with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence for project tracking and documentation
