Buyer - Level 1

• Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and support production or operational requirements.
• Assist in evaluating suppliers and negotiating contracts to secure favorable terms.
• Prepare, issue and manage purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Track inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to support production requirements.
• Manage supplier non-conforming quality issues and follow-up activities.
• Utilize MISYS Manufacturing Software to process purchase orders, track inventory levels, and to support daily production and manufacturing activities.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate sourcing options based on price, quality, and delivery capabilities.
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, contracts, and supplier communications to ensure compliance and transparency.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, or deliveries.

• Familiarity with MISYS or a similar manufacturing software is highly advantageous.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Knowledge of materials management, inventory management, logistics, and supply chain management principles is essential.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial external supplier and internal team relationships.
• Experience working with contracts, pricing negotiations, and procurement strategies to optimize costs.
• High attention to detail in maintaining procurement records and processing purchase orders.
• Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
