Job description

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Database Analyst to join our team and drive the management, optimization, and security of our critical data systems. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in database design, performance tuning, and scripting to ensure high availability, reliability, and efficiency across our diverse database environments.   • Implement and maintain high availability solutions to ensure continuous access and minimal downtime for critical databases.
  • Conduct performance tuning activities to enhance query efficiency, reduce latency, and improve overall system responsiveness.
  • Develop and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) and scripting languages such as Bash (Unix shell) for data integration tasks.
  • Administer databases by performing backups, restores, security management, user access controls, and routine maintenance to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with development teams on database design best practices and assist in implementing scalable solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Monitor system health through logs and automated alerts; troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize impact on operations.

Requirements

Do you have experience in UNIX?, * Strong proficiency in SQL programming with experience in MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and PL/SQL.

  • Expertise in database administration including backup/recovery strategies, security management, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of high availability architectures such as clustering or replication to ensure continuous database operation.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools like SSIS; scripting skills in Bash (Unix shell) or Shell Scripting for automation tasks.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments for server management and scripting purposes.
  • Ability to optimize database performance through indexing strategies and query tuning techniques.
  • Understanding of database design principles to develop efficient schemas that support business processes.
