Senior Software Engineer (Kubernetes Platform Engineering)

Assist researchers to containerize analytics on platforms. Familiar with how to accommodate data security, user authentication, and Agency Network Security compliance in systems. Assist researchers in transition from research supported platforms to Agency Corporate Systems.

Fourteen (14) years experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree., * Self-hosted Kubernetes

• Monitoring Kubernetes environments
• Python
• Docker
• Containerization services
• Linux (Ubuntu)
• Able to work with researchers to identify format and build applications for containers
• Able to host and scale data and applications in containers
• Able to configure ports for tools to be deployed. Assist researchers in porting tools.
• Knowledge and background in helm charts
• Understanding and able to develop workflows. Able to scale workflows.
• Familiar with Lab Bench
• Experience with authentication and security requirements for platforms
• Experience with CASPORT, PKI
• Write and maintain documentation

• Able to build Kubernetes environments from scratch
