Job description
NDTI has a requirement for an Electronic Warfare (EW) Systems Engineers (SE) to support operations at Point Mugu, CA. The candidate will operate within an integrated Government and contractor team, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and operational performance excellence.
We are seeking applicants to help generate requirements, perform system/subsystem design, assist in system integration and test. You will contribute to a diverse team that develops novel solutions to Electronic Warfare (EW) challenges through the design and experimentation of EW system prototypes and production systems., * This position will support an engineering team consisting of fellow systems engineers and design engineers specializing in software, FPGA, hardware, RF/Antenna and mechanical solutions.
- The Senior Systems Engineer will conduct analysis of various system components, develop strategies for system implementation, and develop requirements for EW systems.
- As part of this analysis, the Senior Systems Engineer may need to develop and execute high-fidelity models using object-oriented MATLAB programming.
- The model will include sensor phenomenology, signal processing, detection, tracking, and discrimination algorithms.
- The Senior Systems Engineer will use developed models to conduct performance analyses, support trade studies, and develop requirements for the organization.
- The Senior Systems Engineer will coordinate analysis activities and products with functional group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for executing analysis tasks.
- The Senior Systems Engineer will document analysis results in reports and briefings to be presented to our customers and partner vendors.
Education and Work Experience Requirements: Due to customer requirements, U.S Citizenship is required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoW Security clearance for duration of employment.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Simulation analysis?, Our customer team develops a variety of EW systems and concepts to empower the Electronic Warfare community. Although EW experience is preferred, Radar experience is also a valuable aid in learning EW concepts., * Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, or physics
- 10-20 years of experience
- Strong technical background in RF engineering
- Experience with electronic warfare including electronic attack, electronic protection or related engineering field
- Experience developing and architecting models and simulations using MATLAB
- Knowledge of radar sensing physics and signal processing techniques
- Ability and willingness to learn new physical and mathematical concepts
- Good communication skills

Capable of working both independently and in a team environment Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
- Master’s or PhD and experience in engineering, mathematics, or physics
- Analysis experience in aspects of airborne EW systems
- Experience with radar scheduling, signal processing, tracking, discrimination, and/or electronic warfare
- Experience with MATLAB programming for conducting analysis and describing complex phenomenon
- Individual with demonstrated small team leadership experience is desired
