Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator to join one of our clients based out of Richmond, VA. The salary ranges from $115,000-$125,000 and the work authorization is not specified. The Cloud Systems Administrator owns the cloud infrastructure, ensuring secure, reliable, and cost-effective operations across Azure. This role serves as the primary technical owner of cloud platforms, oversees managed service providers (MSPs), and ensures compliance with security, audit, and governance requirements. You’ll partner closely with internal IT, development, security, and compliance teams to support scalable, business-aligned cloud solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of infrastructure or systems administration experience, including 3+ years in cloud-focused roles.
Experience serving as the technical owner for cloud platforms.
Proven success overseeing MSPs or third-party vendors.
Strong Azure expertise across compute, networking, identity, storage, security, and select PaaS services.
Experience supporting security, compliance, or audit activities (ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar). Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect certifications
CISA or security governance experience
Familiarity with ISMS, IT governance programs, or FinOps concepts
