GIS Business Analyst

Hive+Co has a contract opportunity with our client for a GIS Business Analyst to support and enhance an enterprise ArcGIS Enterprise platform. This role will serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, leading operational support efforts, managing platform enhancements, and driving continuous improvement initiatives., * Lead incident intake, triage, prioritization, and resolution tracking for the GIS platform.

• Manage and monitor security vulnerabilities, including CVE-related risks and remediation efforts.
• Own and maintain the Jira backlog, including epics, user stories, defects, and sprint prioritization activities.
• Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define and prioritize work.
• Coordinate testing activities across business and technology teams to ensure successful deployments.
• Facilitate retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance and delivery.
• Track project progress and provide leadership reporting on status, risks, dependencies, and impediments.
• Support operational excellence and platform stability while driving ongoing enhancements and modernization efforts.

Do you have experience in Systems analysis?, Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship., The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Agile backlogs, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting enterprise technology platforms. Experience with GIS environments, ArcGIS Enterprise, or geospatial technologies is highly preferred., * 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role.

• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong backlog management experience, including user stories, defects, sprint planning, and prioritization.
• Experience using Jira or similar Agile project management tools.
• Experience supporting GIS platforms, ArcGIS Enterprise, or other enterprise technology platforms.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• GIS, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related coursework.
• Experience supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments.
• Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, SAFe, or similar).
• Experience coordinating testing and release readiness activities.
• Knowledge of security remediation processes and vulnerability management.

Additional Information

• This is an onsite position located in Gahanna, Ohio.
• Must be local or willing to relocate prior to start.
