Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Network Engineer to join our client onsite in Omaha, NE. As a network engineer supporting the firewall migration project, you’ll play a key role in transitioning our clients infrastructure from Palo Alto to Cisco firewalls. Your day-to-day will involve collaborating closely with network operations, security, infrastructure, and engineering teams to implement and fine-tune Cisco firewall configurations. You’ll be analyzing existing Palo Alto setupsreviewing policies, rules, and security protocolsand translating them into Cisco equivalents while ensuring alignment with the organizations security standards. Post-migration, you’ll provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of the new firewall environment. You’ll also be responsible for creating detailed technical documentation outlining configuration steps, migration procedures, and network topology. Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience within network engineering utilizing Palo Alto & Cisco firewalls (ASA, Firepower, & other Cisco security products)

  • Experience with network security protocols, firewall rule sets, VPN, NAT, IPSec, etc.

  • Previous experience in firewall migrations (planning, execution, testing, troubleshooting & documentation)

  • Experience with routing & switching in large, complex network environments (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)

  • Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS · CCNP Security or Palo Alto PCNSE certification
