Azure Infrastructure & Virtual Desktop Engineer

Our Azure team is currently a small, highly impactful group responsible for building and managing enterprise-scale cloud services. As we continue taking ownership of additional Azure subscriptions and expanding our cloud platform, we are looking for engineers who want to make a measurable impact, move quickly, and help shape the future of our Azure environment.

This is a highly visible consulting engagement where you’ll work directly with Infrastructure leadership to solve real business challenges, improve cloud operations, and help drive the next phase of Azure maturity across the organization.

• Strong possibility of extension as Azure initiatives continue to expand, We are seeking an Azure Infrastructure & Virtual Desktop Engineer for a high-visibility contract engagement focused on Azure cost optimization, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), automation, disaster recovery, and cloud infrastructure engineering.

This is not a maintenance role. We need someone who can identify opportunities, implement solutions, automate processes, and drive meaningful improvements across a growing Azure environment.

The ideal candidate has worked within larger enterprise environments and understands how to operate Azure at scale. This person will work closely with Infrastructure leadership, Information Security, and global engineering teams to improve performance, resiliency, automation, and cloud governance. Location

• Hybrid Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday onsite (Non-Negotiable)

Current Priorities

• Azure Cost Optimization -Identifying and implementing opportunities to reduce Azure spend while maintaining performance and availability.
• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) - needs someone who truly understands AVD at an enterprise level.
• Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity - A major focus for this role will be strengthening Azure resiliency.
• AI-Driven Operations - ChatGPT Enterprise and expects engineers to actively leverage AI to improve productivity.

• 7+ years of Azure Infrastructure or Cloud Engineering experience
• Deep Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) expertise
• Strong Terraform experience
• Advanced PowerShell scripting experience
• Experience supporting enterprise Azure environments
• Azure cost optimization experience
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity experience
• Strong Azure networking knowledge
• Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities

Salary: $70 - $100 per hour
