Product Owner - Deposits (Finance Transformation)

Seeking an experienced Agile Product Owner to support a large-scale Finance Transformation initiative focused on the Deposits domain. This role will lead product delivery execution, requirements management, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement while driving capabilities that support financial reporting, analytics, and enterprise data initiatives.

The ideal candidate combines strong product ownership experience with deep knowledge of banking products, deposit data, financial systems, and Agile delivery practices. This individual will partner closely with Finance, Technology, Operations, and Data teams to ensure high-quality delivery of business-critical capabilities.

Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements Management & Analysis

• Lead end-to-end requirements gathering for Deposit-related data initiatives
• Partner with Finance, Operations, Product, Data, and Technology stakeholders to define business needs
• Perform data profiling, data lineage validation, and source-to-target analysis
• Analyze and rationalize business requirements to eliminate redundancy and improve consistency
• Translate business requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Ensure alignment with enterprise data standards and governance requirements

Product Ownership & Agile Delivery

• Own and maintain the product backlog
• Prioritize initiatives based on business value and strategic objectives
• Partner with Agile delivery teams utilizing Scrum and Kanban methodologies
• Facilitate backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives
• Support delivery teams throughout the software development lifecycle
• Ensure transparency of priorities, scope, risks, and dependencies

Data & Financial Systems

• Support initiatives involving financial reporting, deposit data, analytics, and enterprise data platforms
• Perform data analysis using SQL
• Validate data quality, lineage, mappings, and analytical workflows
• Partner with technology teams to support data integration and reporting initiatives
• Ensure business requirements accurately reflect underlying data structures and business processes

Change & Release Management

• Lead change management activities including impact assessments and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate release planning, deployment readiness, and post-release validation
• Ensure traceability from requirements through development, testing, and production implementation
• Support issue resolution and risk mitigation throughout delivery cycles

Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams
• Communicate priorities, risks, dependencies, and delivery progress
• Influence cross-functional teams without direct authority
• Partner with senior leadership to align initiatives with strategic business objectives

Do you have experience in Stakeholder management?, * 5+ years of Product Owner, Product Management, or Agile Product Delivery experience

• Experience working within Banking or Financial Services environments
• Strong understanding of Deposit products, Consumer Banking, Retail Banking, or Core Banking operations
• Experience gathering and analyzing requirements for data, reporting, analytics, or financial systems
• Strong Agile experience utilizing Scrum and Kanban frameworks
• Experience managing product backlogs and user story development
• Ability to perform data analysis using SQL
• Experience with:
• Data profiling

• Source-to-target mapping
• Data flow analysis
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale transformation initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within major financial institutions
• Finance Transformation or Enterprise Data Transformation experience
• Experience supporting Deposits-related programs
• Experience developing roadmaps, OKRs, KPIs, and product strategy
• Experience with financial reporting and analytics platforms
• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance and data management practices
• Experience simplifying complex business and data concepts for executive audiences

Preferred Industry Background

Experience within large financial institutions is highly preferred, including, The ideal candidate is a senior Product Owner with strong banking and financial services experience who can bridge business and technology teams while driving delivery of complex data and reporting initiatives. They possess deep expertise in requirements management, Agile product ownership, SQL-based data analysis, and stakeholder engagement, with a proven track record supporting enterprise finance and deposit-related transformation programs.
