Job description
We are seeking an experienced AEM Guides Developer to join our Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) practice. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing, customizing, and supporting Adobe Experience Manager Guides (formerly XML Documentation for AEM) solutions. This role requires strong expertise in DITA-based content management, AEM architecture, and technical documentation publishing workflows.
The AEM Guides Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, content authors, architects, and Adobe consultants to design, develop, and optimize content management solutions that improve authoring efficiency and multi-channel publishing capabilities., * Design, develop, and maintain Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Guides implementations.
- Configure and customize AEM Guides components, workflows, templates, and publishing processes.
- Develop and support DITA-based content management solutions.
- Build and customize XML/DITA transformations using XSLT, XPath, and related technologies.
- Configure and optimize PDF, HTML5, Knowledge Base, and custom publishing outputs.
- Develop custom AEM components, services, workflows, and integrations to support documentation requirements.
- Integrate AEM Guides with external systems such as CRM, LMS, CMS, Translation Management Systems (TMS), and Knowledge Management platforms.
- Troubleshoot authoring, publishing, and content migration issues.
- Collaborate with content authors and information architects to improve content reuse and governance.
- Support migration of legacy documentation systems to AEM Guides.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to Adobe best practices.
- Participate in solution design, effort estimation, and technical documentation activities.
- Provide production support and resolve critical issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Xpath?, * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience with AEM Guides implementations.
- Strong understanding of DITA XML, DITA maps, topics, specialization, and content reuse concepts.
- Experience with:
- AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS)
- AEM 6.5
- Sling
- OSGi
- JCR
- Apache Felix
- Java
- JavaScript
- HTL/Sightly
- Experience developing custom workflows and integrations in AEM.
- Knowledge of XSLT, XPath, XML Schema, and DITA Open Toolkit.
- Experience with Git-based source control systems.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
