Job description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Services Engineer to join our Deep Dive team and serve as a technical authority for complex product escalations. This role is ideal for a highly experienced Java developer with a background in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) who is ready to lead complex technical resolutions, elevate team capability, and drive systemic improvements across the product and support organization.

As a senior member of the Deep Dive team, you will:

Lead resolution of the most complex, high-severity product incident escalations, serving as a primary escalation resource for the team.

Troubleshoot product incidents, develop workarounds, write unit and functional tests, and write up bugs.

Perform deep root cause analysis across Java-based, database-heavy enterprise applications.

Partner with Engineering, Product, and other stakeholders to translate support insights into systemic improvements.

Solve performance incidents and manage time-sensitive customer-reported product issues.

Provide constructive feedback to product management and development.

Requirements

This is a customer-facing, senior individual contributor role requiring deep technical expertise in Java and Oracle database environments, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to operate with autonomy in a fast-paced environment., * BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.

  • 5+ years of Java programming experience, with hands-on development using Java, J2EE, Oracle, and web services.
  • Demonstrated experience as a senior technical resource or escalation lead within a support or technical services organization.
  • Strong Java debugging skills, including ability to analyze stack traces, error codes, and performance issues.
  • Strong database analysis skills, pattern analysis skills, and query writing in Oracle or other relational databases.
  • Experience with performance optimization and troubleshooting of Java applications.
  • Experience using Linux.
  • Experience working with WebLogic application server and SOAP web services.
  • Experience with shell or other Unix scripting languages.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong understanding of support operations, case lifecycle management, and ITSM best practices.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic environments with the flexibility to provide 24x7 on-call client support on a rotational basis. Experience developing healthcare applications.

Experience with IntelliJ, JUnit, or similar development tools.

Deep domain knowledge in healthcare or US health insurance, particularly health plan claims administration and payer operations.

Experience with HealthRules Payer or comparable CAPS solutions.

Familiarity with Salesforce as a case management platform.
