Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Endpoint Engineer to join our team in the greater DMV area, supporting the Army National Guard.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, laptops, mobile devices, and virtual desktop environments across enterprise networks.
  • Apply endpoint security baselines, STIG requirements, patch updates, and configuration changes to sustain RMF/DoD/Army compliance.
  • Manage endpoint policies, software deployments, imaging/provisioning, and device configurations using MECM, Intune, or equivalent platforms.
  • Monitor device health, application performance, and configuration drift; identify and remediate issues affecting reliability and security.
  • Execute vulnerability remediation: deploy patches, update agents, verify compliance via scanning tools, and document remediation status.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, SOC/CIRT, network, and help desk teams to investigate endpoint incidents and validate remediation.
  • Support Army 365, enterprise email, collaboration tools, and endpoint authentication services through routine configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain SOPs, runbooks, configuration records, and asset documentation to support auditability and lifecycle management.
  • Contribute to process improvements: refine deployment workflows, optimize endpoint performance, and adopt updated configuration standards.

Requirements

  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Candidate must meet ONE of the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering; OR
  • Relevant DoD/military training (examples: F07DZZ1; M03385G; M10395B; M223854; A-531-0021; W-250-0750; A-150-1980; A-102-8484; A-150-1250; A-150-1940A; A-150-1941; A-150-1903; A-102-3131; A-150-1855; A-150-1940; A-113-0205; A-113-0175; A-113-0018; A-113-0382; A-113-0027; A-113-0383; A-113-0202; A-113-0233; DISA (451) Training (Linux/Windows); System Administrator (Intermediate) Playlist); OR
  • Relevant professional certification or equivalent experience (examples: CompTIA Cloud+; GICSP; GSEC; Security+; SSCP).
  • Required experience and skills:
  • Endpoint engineering, systems administration, or device management experience supporting enterprise environments.
  • Practical experience with MECM (SCCM), Intune/Endpoint Manager, imaging/provisioning workflows, patch management, and EDR agent lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with DISA STIG application to endpoints, RMF/ATO evidence practices, and vulnerability remediation workflows.
  • Proficiency with endpoint monitoring, ticketing systems, and configuration/asset repositories; strong documentation and runbook maintenance skills.
  • Ability to coordinate cross-functional remediation with cybersecurity, SOC/CIRT, and application owners.
  • Desired:
  • Prior DoD/ARNG or classified environment endpoint management experience.
  • Experience with VDI platforms, mobile device management at scale, scripting/automation (PowerShell/Python), and endpoint compliance/dashboarding.

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
