Job description

  • Lead and manage a team of mechanical engineers in the design, development, and testing of hardware components and systems for custom cable assemblies.
  • Oversee project timelines, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are met on schedule; communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including signal integrity engineering, product management, and manufacturing, to ensure cohesive product development.
  • Develop and implement engineering development processes and best practices to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Manage resource allocation and budgeting for hardware development projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Direct the growth plan for the team, including scaling resources to support business growth, taking an active part in the interview and recruitment process, and the onboarding/training of new hires.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the professional growth of team members.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the team.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical training?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in hardware development, including precision components and/or sheet metal. Cable harnessing experience a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role within a mechanical development team, ideally within the hardware space.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (Creo).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
