- Supporting the Director of Digital Innovation and Strategy in executing on client deliverables in an on-time and high-quality manner
- Producing research deliverable for clients including:
- Prospect Lists
- Dossiers
- Wealth Screenings
- Participate in the development and improvement of systems to effectively conduct prospect outreach and track fundraising success
- Staying abreast of industry trends in philanthropy, fundraising strategy, corporate social responsibility, and our clients’ impact areas
- Regularly engaging with and maintaining positive client relations, and representing Hudson Ferris in a warm, professional demeanor at community or client events, * Team Skill Builds designed to allow junior staff to learn from experts’ experience in the field of fundraising and nonprofit management
- Regular team building opportunities
- Partnership with Civic Hall and access to their membership community
Requirements
Do you have experience in Zoom?, We are looking for someone with an enterprising spirit to be our Summer Fellow. This is an opportunity based in prospect research methodology and how it informs fundraising strategy. Fellows will learn how to utilize the latest tools and platforms available to nonprofits, and the inner workings of strong strategy. Fellowship candidates must also display commitment to our company values: Persistence, Tenacity, Curiosity, and Solidarity.
About the candidate:
· We are seeking an ambitious and industrious college student or recent graduate
· The ideal candidate will be highly organized and a detail-oriented multi-tasker, with strong personal communication skills, an aptitude for prospect research, and project management experience. This person can think quickly on their feet while maintaining composure and professionalism in high pressure situations.
· We are looking for someone with intellectual curiosity and a strong work ethic, who is comfortable in a fast-paced environment. This person should be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively, and able to adjust to shifting priorities., * Proficiency with Zoom and Microsoft Suite (including Outlook)
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and project manage seamlessly (preferably using Monday.com or similar tools)
- Personal resilience and a willingness to provide and utilize constructive feedback
Preferred requirements:
- Experience with Foundations/Institutional Giving and stewardship
- Experience with CRM platforms (like Salesforce, Bloomerang, Neon) and subscription research databases (including LexisNexis, Inside Philanthropy, FDO, etc.)
- Experience interfacing with clients directly, through activities such as sales, public relations/media, consulting work, or fundraising
- Demonstrated competency with project management, individually and as part of a team
- Experience with innovative generative AI and prospecting tools (including DonorAtlas, Impala, and others)
- Experience with Monday.com or similar project management software
- Experience in nonprofit development offices or consultancy settings, with an ability to judge which fundraising practices are more effective than others
- Experience developing and editing fundraising copy, such as grants, appeals, and donor-facing communications
- Experience in one or more development departments with a robust annual giving operation and/or major giving operation
- Experience with capital campaigns or comprehensive campaigns
