Job description

Senior network engineer responsible for the performance and reliability of the wired and wireless infrastructure across a multi-site federal enterprise (Cisco and Aruba).

What you will do

  • Own routing/switching performance across Cisco Nexus and Catalyst cores/switches and ASR routers, and the Aruba wireless fabric (CX6300, ~270 APs, Aruba Central).

  • Monitor and tune the network using SolarWinds Orion; lead network incident response with hourly status updates during outages.

  • Manage WAN/ISP connectivity and DAS support; coordinate with carriers and OEMs on escalations and restoration.

  • Execute network changes through the change-control board; maintain network documentation.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Telecommunications network performance monitoring?, CCNP certification.

  • Expert-level routing/switching knowledge and hands-on SolarWinds experience.

  • 5+ years in enterprise network engineering across Cisco and (ideally) Aruba.

  • Able to obtain U.S. federal suitability/badging; onsite in Washington, DC.

Preferred

  • CCIE; Aruba certification; TACACS+ and Wireshark proficiency.

  • Federal multi-site experience.
