Job description

The IT Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing technology projects that support Stevens Transport’s business operations, compliance requirements, and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires a strong balance of transportation knowledge, project management expertise, and communication skills to ensure that IT solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational goals., * Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, including software implementations, infrastructure upgrades, and system integrations.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments (Operations, Finance, Safety, HR, etc.) to gather requirements and define project scope.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate with internal IT teams and third-party vendors to ensure proper execution and support.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and provide status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects comply with security, regulatory, and industry best practices.
  • Drive process improvements within IT project management standards and methodologies.
  • Support management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies across the company.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Managing projects?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 3-5 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects on time and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification.
  • Experience in transportation management systems (TMS), enterprise resource planning (ERP), or fleet management software.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, JIRA, Trello, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain industry.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
