Job description

The Lead Data Analyst acts as the primary owner of our data analysis and financial reporting systems. This is a fully remote, individual contributor role that requires a high degree of autonomy, technical maturity, and a self-starter mindset. Because we operate with a lean data and IT footprint, this position has end-to-end ownership of data workflows and serves as the critical bridge to our corporate finance team. Reporting directly to the CFO and partnering with leaders across the Finance, Operations, and Sales functions, the Lead Data Analyst plays a critical role in both establishing and maintaining critical data workflows and in completing ongoing reports and analysis in the business., * Data Ownership: Act as the primary architect and administrator of data analysis frameworks, ensuring accurate and reliable operational datasets.

  • Dashboard Design: Build, maintain, and automate interactive dashboards using modern visualization tools to democratize data across teams.
  • Finance Team Partnership: Interface heavily with Finance to build data models, streamline forecasting, and optimize variance reporting.
  • Process Automation: Clean, structure, and integrate financial data streams to eliminate manual reporting bottlenecks.
  • Selected Commission Calcs: Build and maintain data structure to support ongoing monthly and quarterly commission calculations. Complete selected commission calculations and work with Finance and HR to transition calculations to other team members.
  • Software Integration: Proactively master and implement specialized workflows using NetSuite, QuickBooks, Cube, and Dash software (prior experience not required).
  • Budgeting and Forecast: Working with the CFO, Finance Team, and Operations Leadership, assist in the building of annual budgets and mid-year forecasts for branch locations and cost centers.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical Proficiency?, * Experience: 4+ years of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or financial analytics.

  • Work Style: Exceptional autonomy and a proven track record of managing projects independently in a remote-first culture.
  • SQL: Deep expertise in writing advanced queries, managing complex joins, and transforming data.
  • Excel: Expert proficiency with formulas, pivot tables, and macro/financial modeling structures.
  • Tableau: Advanced ability to design high-utility, visually intuitive dashboards for key business stakeholders., * Strong foundational background or experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, or accounting systems.
  • Eagerness and capability to quickly adopt specialized platforms including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Paycor, Cube, and Dash.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position. Company-issued equipment, including a laptop and other required technology, will be provided. Associates are expected to maintain a professional remote work environment with reliable internet access and the ability to perform their job duties effectively and professionally. The position requires extensive computer use and frequent communication through video conferencing, telephone, email, and other collaboration tools.

Work Schedule & Travel Requirements

This position requires flexibility in work schedule based on business needs, which may include extended workdays and occasional work beyond a standard 40-hour workweek. This role does not require travel.

Physical Demands

Work is performed in a remote office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment, including a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other office technology. The position requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time; use hands and fingers to operate a computer and other office equipment and communicate effectively through verbal and written means.
