Job description
In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult as an expert to develop or influence initiatives and resources for highly complex business and technical needs across Engineering. Consult on the strategy and resolution of highly complex challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas, delivering long-term, large-scale solutions that require advanced analytical thinking. Provide expertise to senior leadership on innovative Engineering solutions and strategically engage with client personnel. Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Application Security & Threat Modeling
- Conduct and automate application threat modeling using OWASP methodologies
- Decompose application architectures to identify risks and attack surfaces
- Perform abuse case analysis and define mitigation strategies
AI & Security Engineering
- Build scalable AI/LLM-driven solutions to automate threat modeling and security processes
- Secure AI-enabled applications, addressing risks such as prompt injection and data exposure
- Develop frameworks for AI security governance and controls
Architecture & Secure Design
- Define secure application architecture patterns and reference designs
- Evaluate and improve security posture across modern application stacks
- Provide guidance on secure coding, authentication, API security, and secrets management
DevSecOps & Automation
- Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, IaC scanning)
- Automate vulnerability detection, remediation workflows, and compliance checks
- Drive adoption of security best practices across engineering teams
Cloud & Platform Security
- Design and implement security controls for cloud-native and distributed systems
- Support software supply chain security (SBOM, dependency risk, artifact integrity)
- Apply zero-trust and policy-as-code principles
Collaboration & Leadership
- Lead initiatives and influence security strategy across engineering teams
- Act as a security advisor to developers, architects, and leadership
- Mentor teams and drive adoption of security practices
- Communicate risks, findings, and solutions to both technical and executive audiences
Requirements
- 7+ years of Application Security Engineering experience
- 2+ years of hands-on threat modeling experience (OWASP-based)
- Experience building AI/LLM-driven application security solutions in enterprise environmentsPlusses:
- Strong experience with secure software architecture and OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities
- Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows
- Experience with cloud-native security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and distributed systems
- Experience with AI/ML and GenAI security (prompt injection, model risks, etc.)
- Security certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, GIAC, etc.)Job Summary
