Job description
A Network Field Technician will install and maintain our resellers and end-user customers. These positions involve exposure to voice technologies, IT, and contact center software. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are needed to interface in technical and non-technical terms to resellers and end-user customers’ IT staff. The main purpose of this field position is the installation, acceptance, lineup, and maintenance of microwave, multiplex, fiber optic, or other auxiliary equipment that comprises the company’s network. Some responsibilities include being able to climb and perform work on communications’ towers and building rooftops to accept, test, and maintain microwave radio systems; coordinate required activities with the Network Operations Center (NOC) personnel in the isolation and resolution of network problems; work as a part of a cross-functional team to conduct routine preventative and corrective maintenance activities to support Network Deployment, Performance, and Reliability initiatives; troubleshoot problems on his/her own related to the network; provide process improvement input as needed; administer an intermediate level analysis for fault isolation as it pertains to wireless, fiber optics, T-1, telemetry, and voice and data circuits; perform fiber terminations (mechanical terminations and fusion splicing), and run structured cable in many different building environments.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in WAN?, * 1-2 Years of Cisco WAN/LAN-Related Experience
- 1-2 Years of Telecommunications’ Experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent Written & Verbal Communication Skills
- Basic VOIP/SIP Understanding
- The Ability to Troubleshoot Network-Related Issues: Cisco Networking, IPs, & Subnets, * Computer networking: 1 year (Preferred)
- LAN: 1 year (Preferred)
