Job description
The Vice-President of Technology owns Atticus’ technology infrastructure, application development, and data. This role leads the application team and owns how Atticus builds its technology products, partnering with Product (which owns what is built) and Services (which owns delivery) to translate the roadmap into working software.
The VP, Technology serves on the Drake Quantous Leadership Team alongside peers from Atticus, Pathways, Radley House, and Shared Services. LT responsibilities include monthly division checkpoints with the CEO, quarterly multi-day off-sites, and ad hoc cross-BU collaboration as the business requires., * Lead Atticus’ application team as a player-coach, contributing hands-on engineering work while providing direction, code review, mentorship, and performance management
- Represent Technology as a peer to Product and Services in the roadmap process, contributing technical strategy, feasibility, and trade-off analysis for (at least) the three applications to be grown, built, or re-built this year
- Own technical design and delivery - including the call on which work is sequenced next when Product and Services priorities compete - ensuring secure coding practices, documentation, and business alignment
- Meet with Product and Services as needed to align on cross-functional priorities and ensure each part of the business is getting what it needs
- Own the technology strategy, infrastructure, data architecture, budget, and vendor relationships supporting Atticus products
- Identify and mitigate technical risks, resolving issues that impact delivery, reliability, and security
- Facilitate the professional development of each member of the application team, helping them to grow in knowledge, professionalism, capability, and career fulfillment
- Coordinate testing with users and stakeholders to ensure systems meet business, security, technical, and user requirements
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company and client data; partner with the Drake Quantous Compliance Officer on SOC 2 audit cycles and ongoing controls
- Manage business continuity and disaster recovery implementations and testing
- Oversee system health monitoring, user support, and escalation management
WORK SCHEDULE
40+ hour standard work week, primarily remote work environment, with attendance at the periodic All Hands Meetings.
