Job description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Computer Technician for a, 6-month contract project at a local healthcare facility in Orlando (Lake Nona), FL. This role is highly hands-on and focuses on refreshing, upgrading, and deploying new workstations. Because this deployment takes place within an active healthcare setting, the ideal candidate must be professional, highly organized, and comfortable working around the general public and medical staff.

Project Attendance Policy: Candidates must have consistent availability to ensure the project meets its upcoming deadline. Occasional brief absences are acceptable ( 1 to 2 days), but candidates requiring extended pre-planned leave or vacations will not be considered at this time during (6/22-12/11). Reliable daily attendance is an absolute requirement.

Core Responsibilities

  • Workstation Deployment: Assemble, mount, and configure new computer workstations and hardware peripherals.
  • System Imaging: Image and clone operating systems onto new and existing desktop and laptop units.
  • Hardware Upgrades: Perform physical hardware upgrades, specifically swapping and upgrading RAM and storage components.
  • Network Patching: Connect workstations to local network switches, patch panels, and verify active drops.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and quickly resolve any hardware, software, or connectivity issues that arise during the deployment process.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Hardware diagnostics?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is strictly required. Note: Tangible proof/documentation of your diploma or GED will be required during the onboarding process.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct, hands-on experience troubleshooting PCs and managing hardware deployments.
  • Pre-Employment Screening: Must be able to pass a rigorous background check (no felonies or misdemeanors) and a 10-panel drug test. Candidates must also complete any health screenings required for hospital/clinic placement.
  • Environment Fit: Ability to maintain a professional, quiet, and respectful demeanor while working in an active healthcare setting surrounded by patient areas and the general public.
  • Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States., * CompTIA A+ Certification is preferred but not required if equivalent hands-on experience can be demonstrated., * High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • IT: 2 years (Preferred)
  • computer hardware and software: 1 year (Preferred)
