Job description

QCNS is seeking a Senior Quantum Network Engineer to support the design, modeling, and validation of next-generation quantum networking technologies. This role will focus on developing quantum communication architectures, network protocols, simulation environments, and system-level performance analysis for advanced quantum networking applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership, research partners, and engineering staff to help advance innovative networking technologies from concept through validation.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evaluate quantum network architectures.
  • Develop quantum communication protocols and network control strategies.
  • Build and maintain simulation and emulation environments.
  • Analyze network performance, reliability, scalability, and resilience.
  • Contribute to technical reports, research documentation, and engineering reviews.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers and software developers to integrate networking components.
  • Support technology demonstrations and validation activities.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Technical research projects?, Do you have a Master’s degree?, * Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Quantum Information Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Experience with quantum networking, quantum communications, or distributed quantum systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking protocols and communication systems.
  • Experience with simulation tools and software development.
  • Ability to work independently in a research-oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with entanglement distribution systems.
  • Knowledge of quantum repeaters and quantum routing concepts.
  • Familiarity with network modeling frameworks.
  • Previous participation in government-funded research projects.
