Job description
As a Staff Software Development Engineer with CVS Health, you will participate on a product team of 6-10 people (engineers, UX designers, and product manager) and work with the team to build high-quality, usable products to customers and stakeholders. You will help educate both business and technology personnel on the development process and create products from discovery and framing through iterative development and delivery. You will also maintain a user-centered and business-as-priority approach in design perspective and practice. A firm understanding of Java development principles and agile methodologies is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Work in a collaborative environment, contributing to Agile team
- Lead the design of efficient and user-friendly software products to advance and support business needs
- Develop frontend and backend codeutilizingtest-driven development
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience working with enterprise solution delivery in a large-scale distributed software designenvironment,preferably in a J2EE development environment
- 7+ years of Java development experience whileutilizingSpring Boot and/or Spring MVC
- 4+ years of experience with frontend developmentusingAngular8+ 2+ yearsof experience using Agile concepts such as continuous integration (CI/CD) and test-driven development (TDD)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure hardware and software such asOpenstack, AWS, GCP,orAzure
- Strong leadership experience

Education
- Bachelor’sdegree incomputerscience,information systems, engineering,or similar
- 1 year ofprofessional workexperiencerequiredfor every year of college degree notcompleted,in addition to required years of experience
Benefits & conditions
$118,450.00 - $236,900.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
