Data Architect

A growing Software Development company based in Boulder, Colorado is looking to add a Data Architect to their team. This role will own the optimization and re-architecture of an existing data platform, focusing on improving performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. The Data Architect will work extensively with donor and customer data, including giving history, contact information, and engagement data, ensuring it is clean, well-modeled, and optimized for analytics and reporting. Responsibilities include a blend of operational support and project-based architecture work, such as managing data model enhancements, onboarding new data sources, resolving data issues, and handling incoming requests, while also leading larger initiatives to redesign dbt models, optimize Snowflake usage, standardize business definitions, and support analytics and Tableau reporting through well-structured, reliable data models. 3+ years of experience in data architecture and data modeling

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt

Advanced SQL skills with a focus on transformation and modeling

Proven ability to re-architect and optimize existing data systems Python experience

Tableau optimization experience

Background working with complex or legacy data environments

Experience with non-profit or donor data
