Job description

The Sterling OMS Developer participates in projects and the overall design, implementation, and support of an enterprise Order Management System. This role is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and extending applications based on IBM Sterling OMS capabilities, including Distributed Order Management, Selling and Fulfillment, Global Inventory Visibility, Reverse Logistics, and Supply Collaboration, in alignment with established development and project management methodologies and practices., * Provide support and troubleshooting for the OMS system (orders, inventory, etc.), customer integrations, and alert management

  • Design and implement Sterling OMS solutions within existing environments and document workflows based on business requirements
  • Participate in design and code reviews following best practices and coding standards
  • Lead and participate in configuration and performance tuning of the OMS environment
  • Support a wide range of technical initiatives, including system configuration, software development, and patch and upgrade implementations
  • Maintain master configuration data, CDT processes, and source code management
  • Partner with cross?functional technical teams (middleware, database, infrastructure, etc.) on projects and issue resolution
  • Execute production deployments and support testing and change management activities
  • Provide technical expertise to ensure processes, procedures, and standards are followed
  • Document standard operating procedures, best practices, and technical documentation
  • Perform additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of Sterling OMS functional areas, including Sourcing/Scheduling, Inventory, SDF, and Custom APIs
  • Experience with the Sterling build and deployment process
  • Hands?on Java development experience, * 5+ years of experience designing and implementing Sterling OMS solutions in existing environments
  • 3+ years of experience developing web applications using enterprise Java technologies
  • 3+ years of experience working on complex technical projects
  • Development experience with IBM Sterling OMS versions 9.x or 10.x and IBM Call Center
  • Hands?on experience with Java and OMS development, including familiarity with SOA, XML, REST, and JSON
