Remote - OMS Platform Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Digital IT OMS Platform Operations Engineer for a top retail and consumer products client. This candidate will serve as one of the organization’s primary IBM Sterling OMS experts, supporting platform operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, testing, and integrations. The role is highly focused on production support, including reviewing system alerts, resolving order management issues, analyzing integration payloads, and coordinating with development teams and vendors to ensure platform stability. Additionally, the engineer will represent OMS during end-to-end testing efforts, validate system integrations, identify defects, and help drive successful platform expansion across multiple business channels, including marketplace integrations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with deep IBM Sterling expertise who enjoys a blend of technical operations, problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise-scale system support.

Pay Range: $85 / HR to $95 / HR

Day-to-Day:

Manage and support the IBM Sterling OMS Cloud platform

Monitor system health, performance, alerts, and order processing issues

Triage incidents and tickets related to OMS operations

Review order statuses, payloads, and integration errors

Troubleshoot mapping, EDI, XML, and SFTP integration issues

Coordinate with development teams, stakeholders, and IBM support

Manage user access, roles, and permissions within the platform

Participate in end-to-end system integration testing

Validate integrations between OMS and connected enterprise systems

Identify bugs, document findings, and drive resolution efforts

Support marketplace and enterprise-wide OMS rollout initiatives

Continuously improve operational processes and platform stability

3+ years of IBM Sterling OMS experience in a technical specialist/platform operations capacity

Hands-on experience supporting IBM Sterling OMS operations, testing, and system integrations

Experience managing tickets, alerts, monitoring queues, and triaging production issues

B2C environment experience with IBM Sterling OMS

Integration experience with EDI, XML, and SFTP

Knowledge of SDLC, source control, code standards, and Agile methodologies

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Experience troubleshooting complex integration and order management issues

Ability to analyze technical problems and drive resolutions Experience with IBM Sterling OMS Cloud Product

User access management and role administration experience

End-to-end integrated testing experience

Experience working directly with vendors and IBM support teams

Marketplace integration experience

Understanding of enterprise system architecture and data mapping
