Job description

As a Technical Product Owner, you will work in a fast paced environment and collaborate cross-

functionally with the project management, architecture, and other subject matter experts at

EchoStar. With these teams you will work to deliver API integration across our retail wireless

applications. The ideal candidate is experienced in implementing modern cloud-based platforms

and tools, has an entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and excellent critical

thinking skills. You will play a huge role in bridging the gap between the development team and

our clients.

Create relationships with various stakeholders in order to get information, clear blockers,

and push back when needed

Driving the product vision and utilizing it to create a dynamic product feature roadmap

Acting as the user proxy for the team and seek clarification from stakeholders and

customers to understand the business need of a feature

Identify opportunities for improving existing processes and ability to implement said

changes as a leader within the development team

Day-to-day job responsibilities

Decomposing product and service features into workable user stories

Continually prioritizing and grooming product backlogs for cross-functional, full-stack

integration teams. Liaison between requests for new functionality and development

team.

Lead Scrum activities for the development team

Coordinating cross-team delivery, managing dependencies, and defining best practices

Sharing and evangelizing the work completed, product backlog, and Scrum team

metrics.

Requirements

Technical in API development and integration. Strong interpersonal and communication skills

and working knowledge of enterprise solution architecture principles. Self-starter and ability to

figure out a complicated environment.

Specific qualifications:

8+ years of strong Agile experience with leading and implementing agile practices.

5+ years of enterprise product ownership experience

7+ years of enterprise software/API integration experience

Experience creating targeted systems analysis documentation, sample JSON, API

contracts, flow charts or other technical docs

Ability of performing troubleshooting assistance

Must have experience working with offshore teams

Wireless retail experience is a big plus

Order system processing and design experience is a big plus

AWS experience with Lambdas and Step Functions is a plus

Apigee experience a plus

Experience with the following technologies/areas: Java, SpringBoot, Python, and

OpenAPI Spec are a plus
