Job description
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical data center infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire suppression systems, to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency., * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on UPS systems, generators, PDUs, switchgear, CRAC/CRAH units, chillers, and pumps
- Monitor building management systems (BMS) and respond to alarms and alerts in a timely manner
- Conduct routine inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment, identifying and resolving issues before they cause downtime
- Perform minor electrical and plumbing repairs, and coordinate with vendors for major repairs
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment records
- Support installation, decommissioning, and relocation of server racks, cabling, and hardware
- Respond to emergency situations and participate in on-call rotation
- Follow safety protocols and comply with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards
- Assist with capacity planning, asset tracking, and environmental monitoring (temperature, humidity, airflow)
- Coordinate with facilities, IT operations, and security teams on maintenance schedules and access control
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Working as a solar technician?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in electrical, HVAC, or mechanical systems preferred
- 2+ years of experience in data center, facilities, or critical infrastructure maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical systems, generators, UPS, and cooling systems
- Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Basic computer skills for ticketing systems and BMS software
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments (heights, confined spaces, noise)
Work Environment
- 24/7 facility requiring shift work, weekends, holidays, and on-call availability
- Exposure to electrical equipment, mechanical systems, and varying temperatures
Preferred Certifications
- EPA 608, NFPA 70E, OSHA 10/30, CompTIA A+/Network+
