Job description

As a Software Engineer III, you will work on high-impact analytics development projects that support critical data operations. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable data-driven solutions using tools like Pig and PySpark. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in fast-paced Agile environments and play a key role in modernizing software components within a secure and evolving ecosystem., * Developing and optimizing analytics pipelines using Pig and PySpark

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define and implement software solutions
  • Writing, testing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable code
  • Working with Python, Java, or Scala to support analytic capabilities
  • Supporting patch management, system updates, and IAVA tracking
  • Participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies
  • Contributing to automation and integration using tools like NiFi and Ansible

Requirements

  • A problem-solver with strong technical instincts
  • Experienced with large-scale data analytics pipelines
  • Comfortable developing in both scripting and compiled languages
  • Familiar with secure system practices like patch management
  • Someone who thrives in Agile, collaborative environments
  • Capable of balancing rapid development with long-term maintainability, * TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • OR an additional 4 years of relevant SWE experience will substitute for the Bachelors Degree
  • Strong experience in analytics development
  • Proficiency with Pig and PySpark

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with patch management and IAVA tracking
  • Programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
  • Familiarity with Apache NiFi and Ansible
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based teams
