Job description

The Data Analyst is responsible for transforming raw business data into actionable intelligence that drives operational excellence across Hays Electrical Services and affiliated companies. This role will partner with Operations, Project Controls, Finance, Workforce Planning, Preconstruction, Supply Chain, Safety, and Executive Leadership to develop dashboards, automate reporting, identify trends, and provide data-driven recommendations. The ideal candidate understands construction operations, can work across multiple data sources, and possesses the technical capability to build enterprise-level reporting solutions while translating complex data into meaningful business insights. This position plays a critical role in improving productivity, labor forecasting, project performance, profitability, and executive decision-making., Business Intelligence & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards across all business units
  • Build executive-level KPI scorecards for leadership teams
  • Create automated reporting solutions to eliminate manual reporting
  • Develop real-time operational dashboards
  • Design standardized reporting templates across departments
  • Ensure reporting consistency and data integrity throughout the organization

Construction Operations Analytics

  • Labor productivity, earned vs. burned hours, and cost-to-complete projections
  • Workforce forecasting, crew performance, overtime analysis, and manpower trends
  • Schedule adherence, cost performance, budget variances, and change order tracking
  • Cash flow forecasting, buyout/procurement status, and productivity trends
  • Hiring forecasts, regional staffing needs, apprentice progression, and retention metrics
  • Incident trends, EMR tracking, safety observations, and QA/QC deficiencies

Data Management

  • Consolidate data from multiple systems and build/maintain data models
  • Ensure accuracy of enterprise reporting and develop data governance standards
  • Identify reporting gaps and implement solutions
  • Validate data integrity and consistency; create process documentation

Executive Analytics

  • Revenue trends, gross profit performance, and labor efficiency insights
  • Market and regional performance, workforce planning, and operational bottlenecks
  • Strategic growth opportunity identification
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly executive presentations

Requirements

Do you have experience in Systems integration?, * 3-7+ years of data analytics experience

  • Construction industry experience preferred
  • Experience supporting operations teams
  • Experience building executive dashboards
  • Experience working with large datasets

Advanced Skills: Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Power Query, DAX, SQL, Data Visualization, Data Modeling

Preferred Skills: Vista by Trimble, ProjectSight, Primavera P6, Power Automate, Python, Tableau, Azure Data Services

Systems Integration: ProjectSight, Vista by Trimble, Kojo, Primavera P6, OpenSpace, Evolve, HRIS & Safety platforms, CRM & Accounting systems
