Job description

Work within the needs and expectations of the Dietitians and Food Services staff in providing quality and cost effective services to patients, customers and staff across the Health System Support all policies and procedures within the departments Supervise, test and implement all new installs, upgrades and enhancements for multiple systems for Support Services within the HH System Provide strategic analytic information for Support Services by prioritizing projects, providing feasability studies, and resource allocation to identify and address operational, financial and technological risks. Promotes the uniformity of programming efforts throughout all the Support Services departments. Continually research new applications to enhance the progress of Food Nutrition within the HH System Provide appropriate training for all system users through advice and guidance on the systems for best practices. Work along with the Educator of Support Services to develop training material for employees as needed. Responisble for the troubleshooting and problem solving of end-users issues. Performs quality control checks be reviewing data entered by others and providing feedback and guidance as needed. Oversees security management to ensure information is protected and useable so that personnel can report and analyze patient and other information as needed. Must have the ability to access systems after hours and on weekend.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Word processing?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, Education required: Associates degree from an accredited college or university, Comparable combination for education and experience may be considered Experience: Experience in an acute care hospital working in Food and Nutrition Services preferred. Previous experience with Food Services computer systems preferred Additional skills/abilities: Requires excellent oral and written communication skills plus well-developed interpersonal skills. Ability to manage and appropriately prioritize multiple assignments in a stressful work environment. Ability to understand how systems are built and works in order to troubleshoot issues effectively and resolve problems in a timely manner. Ability to understand the impact of decisions on all areas of the systems. Must be proficient in use of personal computers including word processing, spreadsheet applications and database applications. Ability to adapt to changing environment. Ability to effectively communicate with people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Understanding of Food and Nutrition Services processes and how various department areas work together. Basic understanding of special diets.
