Job description
A state agency is seeking a senior-level Salesforce Developer to support and enhance existing custom Salesforce applications while actively participating in the full SDLC for the new CT-KIND system. In this role, the developer will collaborate closely with the System Integrator to ensure effective knowledge transfer and long-term maintainability of assigned modules. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of Salesforce development experience and strong foundational object-oriented programming skills in Apex. This position requires a highly organized, proactive, and self-directed professional who can independently drive tasks from requirements through implementation. The developer must demonstrate strong abstract thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include designing and developing Apex classes, Lightning components, and Visualforce pages; applying full-stack Salesforce expertise including OOP, CRUD operations, design patterns, configuration, and SOQL; analyzing and defining requirements for application integrations; and contributing to all phases of the SDLC while creating and maintaining necessary technical documentation.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience and able to code APEX OOP Strong understanding of design patterns Strong experience with SQL Experience with end to end web development Proactive, highly organized self-starter with the ability to independently drive work from requirements through implementation. Strong problem-solving and abstract thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex business requirements and develop scalable solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. Experience supporting and enhancing custom Salesforce applications and participating in full SDLC processes, including documentation and integration analysis.
