Police Technical Specialist - Plainview

JOB Under the general supervision of the Police Chief, this position provides administrative support and records management, collaborates with other agencies, and performs technical or specialized duties across various aspects of law enforcement. Work is performed in accordance with federal and state laws as well as established policies/procedures with considerable need for confidentiality, independent judgment, and a high degree of accuracy. Associate’s degree or equivalent training at a technical or vocational school with a focus on Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Network Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in information technology, computer support, systems administration, network management, cybersecurity, or a related technical field. Experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, public safety technology systems, or a related field is highly desirable. Possess a valid Minnesota driver’s license and must be able to pass a criminal background check.
