Job description

As a PeopleSoft developer, responsibilities include designing, coding, testing, and implementing customizations and enhancements to PeopleSoft Financial Management System (FMS) applications. This role ensures all development efforts adhere to Miami-Dade County ITD and COCC Development Standards, change control processes, and established Functional and Technical Design specifications. It involves diagnosing and resolving technical issues in both production and non-production environments, including performance tuning and conducting root cause analysis. Additionally, it requires monitoring batch processes, reviewing interface logs, managing system performance, and enforcing security through role-based access controls., * Design, develop, and maintain PeopleSoft FMS applications and integrations using PeopleTools, ensuring alignment with organizational development standards and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include resolving technical issues, conducting performance tuning, managing PUM updates and retrofits, monitoring system performance and security, and developing optimized SQL scripts to support data updates, correction and reporting.

  • Responsibilities include documenting technical specifications, configuration settings, and custom development artifacts to support long-term maintainability and effective knowledge transfer. The position requires close collaboration with FMS Business Analysts and other stakeholders to identify root causes of technical issues, recommend solutions, and implement fixes. It also supports the development, review, and optimization of reports, queries, and data extracts to meet functional and reporting needs.
  • Provide comprehensive and timely project status updates to management. The role also involves serving as a key technical resource and subject matter expert in PeopleSoft ERP development, offering strategic insights and technical guidance to leadership. In addition, the position requires performing a range of related duties as assigned, all in support of maintaining the overall health of the ERP system and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Supervising experience?, Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, Bachelor’s degree. Three years of progressively responsible professional experience in court operations and/or law/quasi-judicial related field, to include supervisory experience are required. Additional professional experience in court operations and/or law/quasi-judicial related field may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis., * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field., * Deep knowledge of PeopleTools (Application Designer, PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interfaces, SQR, etc.) and hands-on experience with key FMS modules such as Accounts Receivable, Billing, Accounts Payable, Treasury, General Ledger, Grants, Project Costing and Expenses.

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, perform root cause analysis, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with development standards and change management processes (e.g., PHIRE, PUM).
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining integrations with external systems using Web Services, File Layouts, and APIs, as well as managing PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) activities including image analysis, patching, and customization retrofitting.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Primarily office-based, with potential for remote or hybrid work (as approved by Manager), depending on organizational policy, position, and job duties. These arrangements are subject to change at any time.
