Job description
· Manage daily workload activities and assign tasks to communication technicians.
· Oversee and manage installation and maintenance activities across ILEC and CLEC networks.
· Manages mixed technology to include- Fiber/GPON, Copper DSL, T1, Ethernet, Fixed Wireless, IP Switch.
· Focuses on coaching and development of team members in an ever-changing environment. Including hands on training, field audits, and 1x1 sessions.
· Collaborates with management and executive team on strategic decisions and building process and installation guides.
· Motivates and celebrates team members.
· Requires direct technical skills and may require working part time as a comm tech.
· Overseeing capital build projects and working hand in hand with contractors and vendors.
Requirements
Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Team training?, · 3+ Years managing technicians in the telecommunications industry.
· 2+ Years as a technician in telecommunications field or central office.
· Skilled in coaching and development of employees.
· Working knowledge of installation and repair of telecom services.
· Strong customer service skills.
· Effective communication skills.
· Computer literate in Microsoft office tools.
· Experience with Switch/IP
· Valid Drivers license with satisfactory driving record.
· On call requirement.
· Willing to work potential nights/weekends during outage scenarios.
· Preemployment background and drug test required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· 5+ Years managing technicians.
· 5+ Years as a field/central office/IT technician.
· Experienced working in and managing IP Switch.
