Job description

We are seeking a reliable, hands-on IT Field Technician to join our team and support customer sites across the United States. This role involves frequent travel to perform onsite technical work, including site surveys, new customer onboarding, hardware swaps, and installation of networking equipment. You’ll be the face of our company at customer locations, ensuring smooth deployments and high-quality service.

Responsibilities:

· Travel to customer locations across the U.S. to perform onsite IT work

· Conduct detailed site surveys for network, Wi-Fi, and infrastructure documentation

· Onboard new customers by setting up and validating required hardware

· Swap, replace, or upgrade PCs, laptops, and peripheral equipment

· Install, replace, or connect network switches, cabling, and related infrastructure

· Install and configure Wi-Fi access points, antennas, and other wireless equipment

· Document work performed, including photos, notes, and inventory

· Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams

· Troubleshoot and resolve onsite technical issues as needed

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driver’s License license?, Do you have experience in Interpreting technical drawings?, · Experience in any IT environment or training. Preferably familiar working at a Managed Service Provider (MSP) - but not a requirement. Experience in support, field service, or deployment experience.

· Understanding of basic IT support operations

· Experience installing PC hardware, peripherals, and network devices a plus

· Ability to read and follow diagrams, floor plans, and deployment documentation

· Comfort working independently in the field and submitting daily reports to lead

· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel frequently (including flights)

· Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work on ladders when needed

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with multi-site deployments or field engineering

· Basic understanding of what role firewalls, access points, and switches play in IT

· Detail-oriented and reliable with a customer-first mindset

· Plus - not required - Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+
