Job description
- Develop and maintain backend services using JavaScript, Node.js, and Node-Red
- Build and optimize cloud-based data pipelines using AWS Glue, Lambda, S3, RDS, EventBridge, Step Functions
- Implement distributed data processing with Spark and Python (PySpark)
- Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including partitioning and indexing
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker
- Manage virtual environments and ensure consistent deployment workflows
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions
Requirements
Do you have experience in System performance optimization?, We are seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer to support a major federal data modernization initiative. This role blends backend engineering, cloud automation, and data pipeline optimization in a high-impact environment., * 4-6 years of software engineering experience
- Strong experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Python (PySpark)
- Hands-on experience with AWS serverless and data services
- Strong SQL skills and Postgres performance tuning
- Experience with Spark, Docker, and environment management
- Must be a US Citizen and able to work hybrid in Reston, VA
