Job description

We are seeking a creative web designer and developer who would be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web & online software applications. This candidate must have experience in mobile first design as well as a strong foundation in web technologies. An understanding of SEO and ADA compliance is a requirement., * Assist with new website builds and existing website updates.

  • Create and maintain web pages utilizing content management systems such as WordPress.
  • Perform website audits to identify and address technical SEO issues along with improving web performance and optimization.
  • Ensure that a website meets the technical requirements for improving organic search rankings.
  • Implement ADA-compliant website design elements.
  • Work with front-end development such as interactive forms, data submission, etc.

Requirements

Do you have experience in jQuery?, * 5+ years experience in web development with an understanding of SEO & ADA Compliance.

  • Experienced with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON along with PHP and other technical libraries/scripting languages.
  • Experienced in visual editor tools for WordPress such as Elementor.
  • Strong understanding of SEO principles including meta data, keyword analysis, on-page optimization, page speed, and technical SEO.
  • Expertise in ADA compliance guidelines (WCAG) and best practices for accessible website design.
  • Proficient with SEO tools and analytics platforms such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEMrush.
  • Experienced with website accessibility testing tools and methodologies such as Silktide.
  • Knowledge of CSS frameworks such as Tailwind CSS is strongly recommended.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
