Job description
We are seeking an Azure Cloud Systems Engineer with strong hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure and on-premises Windows environments. You will be responsible for building, operating, and improving hybrid infrastructures for multiple clients, with a focus on reliability, security, and standardization., * Administer and support Azure resources for multiple clients: virtual machines, storage, networking, and core platform services.
- Manage Azure AD / Entra ID and hybrid identity (synchronization with on-prem AD, SSO, conditional access, MFA).
- Implement and support hybrid connectivity between on-prem and Azure (VPN gateways, site-to-site tunnels, routing, DNS).
- Maintain and support Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, file/print services) and integrate them with Azure.
- Configure and manage Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, and other backup/DR solutions.
- Implement and maintain security controls in Azure: RBAC, NSGs, Defender for Cloud, policies, and monitoring/alerts.
- Assist with migrations from on-prem to Azure (servers, applications, file shares) following established patterns.
- Work with network and security engineers to ensure consistent design and standards across client environments.
- Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and diagrams for Azure and on-prem environments.
- Participate in after-hours maintenance windows and an on-call rotation as needed.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Windows support?, * 3+ years of experience supporting Microsoft infrastructure (Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file services).
- 2+ years hands-on experience managing Azure in production environments (IaaS and core platform services).
- Strong understanding of Azure AD/Entra ID, hybrid identity concepts, and Microsoft 365 integration.
- Solid grasp of Azure networking basics: VNets, subnets, VPN Gateways, NSGs, routing, and DNS in hybrid environments.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions (Azure Backup, on-prem backup platforms).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex hybrid environments.
- Ability to manage multiple client environments simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly with non-technical users.
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail., * Azure in production: 2 years (Required)
Benefits & conditions
- Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and certifications
- Job Type: Full-time
- Work Location: In person (office and client sites; some remote work possible depending on projects)
